Kayla Landefeld - Monroe County SWCD

Kayla Landefeld is the District Program Administrator for Monroe SWCD. Kayla is from neighboring Belmont County where she grew up farming and being involved in the county 4-H program. Kayla received her Associates of Science and Degree in Radiology in the spring of 2009. She currently resides in Miltonsburg with her husband Cris and 2 kids, Carson and Kinsley. Kayla and her family raise beef cattle and have been using rotational grazing on their farm for many years.

Kayla was the administrative assistant for two and a half years before she took on the role of District Administrator. As the District Administrator, Kayla manages daily operations, conducts educational outreach programs for youth and adults of Monroe County, and works closely with the staff and supervisors of Monroe SWCD to determine resource concerns and address those needs for the county.


John Schumacher

John Schumacher - Monroe County SWCD

John Schumacher is the Forestry and Wildlife technician for Monroe SWCD. John grew up here in Monroe county and had an early interest in hunting, fishing, and anything outdoor related. He would end up receiving his bachelor's degree in forestry Ecosystem Science and Management in 2012. After college he had an 11-year career working out west for the Forest Service primarily on wildland firefighting crews.

In his off time, he helps manage his family's farm and forested ground. He has previous experience implementing Timber Stand Improvement practices like invasive species removal, mid story thinning, and prescribed burning. At soil and water, he provides guidance to landowners on timber sales, cost share opportunities, and the newest wildlife management practices.


Wyatt Feldner
Agricultural Technician

Wyatt Feldner - Monroe County SWCD

Wyatt Feldner is the Agricultural Technician for Monroe SWCD. Wyatt and his wife Eden reside in Noble County with their two boys, Charlie and Colby. Wyatt and his dad raise around 30 cow/calf pairs. Conservation practices he has implemented are rotational grazing, spring developments, woodland exclusion fence, brush removal, bale grazing and stockpiling grass for winter feeding.

He attended Ohio State University ATI and earned a degree in animal science. He has served as the agricultural technician for the district since 2018. He is in charge of the district's equipment rental program, soil sampling, provides technical assistance on pasture and cropland, and works with NRCS to provide conservation plans to landowners.
